Dammit!

You did it again after you promised yourself you wouldn’t do it anymore.

You find yourself wondering, what is wrong with you?

Why can’t you just stick to your guns and say that simple two-letter word…. NO?

Don’t be too hard on yourself. You are not alone, my friend.

I spent most of my life saying yes when I wanted to say no:

  • Can you babysit? …Sure (even though I was tired)
  • Can I borrow some money? …Of course (even though I was strapped for cash and knew the person would never pay it back)
  • Do you mind taking on this extra work? …Absolutely! (even though I was already stretched too thin and exhausted)

Over time, the habit of saying yes too often took a toll.

Thankfully, due to lots of deep work, therapy, and self-development I have more clarity about my struggle with saying yes too often.

I would like to offer you a different perspective on it if you don’t mind.

A New Perspective on “Yes”
