This may sound crazy, but at 29, I found myself thinking I was too old to change careers. I thought I’d missed my chance to find the career path meant for me.

So, if you’ve ever found yourself thinking the same thing, you’re not alone.

This is a common self-limiting belief, but what if the most fulfilling chapter of your career is still waiting to be written?

Society often bombards us with messages that our prime earning and learning years are behind us once we hit a certain age.

But this simply isn’t true.

Neuroscience tells us that our brains remain remarkably plastic throughout our lives, which makes us capable of learning new skills and adapting to new challenges.

Here are 7 reasons why you can (and should) pursue career alignment at any age:

1 | Your life experience is an asset

Every year you’ve lived, every job you’ve held, every challenge you’ve overcome — is all added to your unique toolbox of skills and wisdom.
That’s not baggage; it’s valuable experience that employers need.
